Rhythm of modern life doesn’t give us enough time for thinking about our own health. People neglect physical activity, the quality of food they eat, and even the importance of the thing essential for life – water.

  5. it reduces the consequences of everyday stress.

 

 

Recommended daily intake of water is approximately 2 liters. Cold weather and low temperatures have bad effects on our body. Therefore, in this period is extremely important to drink more water than usually. The quality of drinking water mustn’t be neglected. If you buy water, the first thing you are to look on the bottle is the level of sodium and other minerals, as well as the level of dry residues.

Another important ingredient is iodine. It is extremely important for the proper functioning of thyroid gland, which regulates growth and development of tissues and organs that make up the human body. It is also indispensable for different metabolisms in our body, but the most sensitive organ to the functioning of thyroid gland is- brain and neurological structures. Insufficient amounts of iodine cause different disturbances in learning, memorizing, and even serious brain defects, which are the most dangerous if occur in fetal period. Recommended daily intake is really small, depending on the age, but it is very important to take it in regularly.

Juices and other drinks are not replacements for this valuable substance because they have a lot of added sugar and additives. Now, I know that some of you simply don’t have the need for that much water. But, you simply must force yourselves to drink it. At least, it’s your health that’ll suffer, and you surely don’t want that!
