Monday- time for healthy start

Monday. Recommended day for fresh starts. The first day of the working part of the week and the first day after weekend. I’m always full of energy and bursting with new ideas; so it’s usually Mondays I go for new decisions. The same goes for my friends. So, maybe today is the day when you should think of starting with something good and beneficial for you and your health.

If you just consider that all-weekend-long you were lying, resting, eating whatever you found in your fridge or in a local store, you’d very quickly figure out that you did a lot of harm to yourselves, to your physical and mental health. You would soon start blaming that extra piece of cake or that extra glass of your favorite cocktail, but deep inside you know it’s not just ONE!

So, instead sitting and crying over spilt milk, you’d better make yourself a plan. It can be very simple for the first week (because it really IS important just to start!): avoid alcoholic drinks and over-eating for your dinner. When you are out with your friends for a “quick one”, make it freshly made juice or lemonade (no sugar, of course!) instead of a glass of your favorite spirits. Or, when you go out for a dinner, chose a salad with a little cheese on top and an integral bun.

I know that some of you are so tired of work that they don’t have energy to go out, but are craving for bed and sandwich. For those of you, I have a useful tip: when you get home, put 2 eggs and hard-boil them. In the meantime, you can take a quick shower and refresh your energy. When eggs are boiled, slice them and put them in a bowl, add sliced carrot, cucumbers, some oregano, salt and rosemary, stir them and enjoy! A slice of integral bread would be enough.

This way, you’ll be fed and you won’t take in more than you need.

Hope you’ll enjoy my recipe!
