This greatest fan of ice-creams in the whole world (aka my husband ) is the one to whom this post and this recipe are dedicated! Since the first time I made this for him, I make it on a regular basis- meaning as soon as he eats all I’ve made. And I am not overstating!!! The only amount I eat is the amount necessary to see if it’s sweet enough :)

Homemade ice cream recipe

Some of you may be skeptic about this recipe, and I don’t blame you- I myself didn’t think it would be much when made it first time. To be honest, I’m not a fan of home-made ice-creams. They never have the necessary creaminess , and on the other hand- why would anyone bother making ice-cream at home when it can be bought at any shop?!

BUT!!! But this ice-cream… This is a kind of dietary, low caloric ice-cream, and that is the only reason why I tried to make it. First of all, you can make it in only say 10 minutes, you don’t need to cook anything, and you can make it whenever you’re up to eating it ‘cause the ingredients needed are the ones we always have in kitchen.

For 4 persons, you need:
•    500 g of frozen fruits (the one  I’m presenting is made with blueberries);
•    500 g of low-fat yoghurt;
•    150 g of sugar;
•    grated skin of 1 lemon (I usually squeeze lemon juice, it’s tastier that way)
•    and that’s it!

Put all your ingredients in blender, and process until you get smooth, fine mass. Put the mass in 600 ml plastic box, and let it freeze in the freezer for about 3-4 hours. I always spare few pieces of fruits for decoration, you can use fruit syrups, but if you are sparing calories – you better forget syrups :)

Since I’m not crazy about ice-creams as my hubby, I prefer this mass right away after it’s processed in blender. It makes wonderful fruit yoghurt, and yoghurts I am crazy about! If someone of you, guys, has delicious, interesting fruit yoghurt recipe- share it with me, PLEASE!!!
