When you overeat yourselves, you don’t need to rush to the gym to burn those dangerous calories. The same effect can be achieved by doing your household duties. A spring cleaning is the best way to include all muscle groups in the most different ways, and it is good as any other way of recreation. But, what’s the best part of it- it won’t cost you any money!

So, instead of going to the gym, move your beds, shelves, cupboards, and sweep the dust under your furniture, or

go out and work in your garden, or wash your windows… anything that comes to your mind, actually.

Here’s the list of some household duties, and the number of calories which you can burn out by performing it:

1.    working in garden for 45 min- 280 kcal
2.    vacuum cleaning for 1 hour- 280 kcal
3.    mowing your lawn for 30 min- 205 kcal
4.    collecting leaves in front of your house for 30 min- 170 kcal
5.    cleaning your floor for 10 min- 40 kcal
6.    watering your plants for 10 min- 20 kcal
7.    to dry the laundry for 5 min- 20 kcal
8.    moving your furniture for 10 min- 70 kcal

Exercise is very important and is beneficial both physically and mentally. When you exercise, you feel better about yourself because you are fit, or you’re getting fit, and you feel that you have accomplished something that was hard to strive for. The benefits of physical activity are numerous: it gives you more energy, it helps you in coping with stress, it improves self-image, and it increases resistance of tiredness.
