Hi there!

It’s been a long since I last wrote. Actually, I kind of didn’t feel like writing at all last few weeks, and it’s because I am pregnant! All I do is sleeping :-)   so, that’s why I didn’t post more regularly.

keeping-the-hearts-connectedThis is my first pregnancy and I feel great, I’m not nervous, like most women are; I do not feel morning sickness or anything. God forbid! But I can’t get use to those long hours of sleep and tiredness. Wherever or whenever I sit, I fall asleep! I find it very tiring, because I don’t have the habit of sleeping so long. But I am dealing with it, plus- I hope it won’t last long. At least, that’s what my doctor said.

As far as some special pregnancy-lifestyle is concerned for now (the first trimester), it’s not big deal. I am to:

  • Drink only mineral, non-carbonated water, and only freshly made juices,
  • Eat more fruits and vegetables,
  • Eat more red meat, (other types of meat are necessary too, but red meat should be eaten more regularly because of blood count),
  • Instead of sugar- to eat honey,
  • Non-refined oils, low-fat dairy products,
  • Eggs should be eaten 2 or 3 a week.

But this is how I commonly eat. It’s only that now I do not feel need for sweets (which, I admit, felt from time to time before I got pregnant). That’s great because I was afraid that I’ll be eating tons of sweets in pregnancy. I hope this will last, and this will help me not to put on too much weight.

Besides, I was advised to take:

  • Folic acid 2 times a day, and
  • Tocopherol, also 2 times a day.

Those vitamins are to be taken during the first 4 months of pregnancy, for normal development of bones and nervous system of baby. Also, tocopherol (vitamin E) is good in preventing pre-eclampsia in pregnant women. Folic acid may reduce risk of baby heart defects.

Bye, I am off to sleep :-)
